Saturday, July 4, 2015 was filled with happiness and laughter and love. There were tears and excitement and content. It was truly a perfect day. Meila and Chris are an amazing couple and I really feel blessed that they choose me as their photographer. After their relaxed ice fishing engagement session, I couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding. The day started with Meila and her girls at Elements Hair Salon, followed by Meila and her mom getting their makeup at Sara Lindsay Studio. They headed back to the Travelodge to get ready for Meila and Chris’s first look. The first look was supposed to take place outdoors, however, at the time the rain came pouring down. The rain didn’t stop from us from capturing the perfect moment that Chris saw Meila in her Maggie Sottero gown (which was hand picked for Meila by Randy Fenoli from Say Yes to the Dress). Instead, we used the beautiful flower back drop intended for the ceremony, which was created by Wascana Flower Shop. After the first look, Meila and Chris had a wonderful ceremony filled with family and friends. The rain had cleared so we were able to take photographs outdoors. I loved all the little moments that they shared with one another. Their love for one another pours out of these pictures. It was such a wonderful day. Here is their blog post.
When I first met with Taebry and Jason, many things stood out to me. However, one of them was the mutual respect and support that they had towards one another. They cared about the other’s thoughts and opinions. They were comfortable being who they were in front of one another. Their wedding day showed all of those aspects of their relationship but on such a deeper level. Here is their blog post. Enjoy! P.S. Taebry can fluently speak German and has travelled their numerous times (therefore the reason of the blog post title)
This session had me smiling the whole time I was editing. I couldn’t help it. During the session, I could see how in love they were with Hudson and it totally came through in their photos. That makes me happy. Plus Hudson’s little dimples and smiley cheeks were adorable. Here are a few from their family session.
If you remember, a little while ago, I posted Tara’s maternity photos. There were just three of them in the photos, but now there are four. I find it so exciting to document changes in people’s lives. The story changes and in this case, it was the highly anticipated arrival of a new baby. This family is is wonderful to photograph and I am so happy for them. Here is a sneak peek from their session.
Graduation is such an exciting time for teenagers. They completed high school and are ready to start a new chapter to their story. I grew up with Cole’s dad and it is really hard to believe that his son is graduating from high school already. Cole is a pretty talented baseball player so I knew we had to incorporate his love of baseball in here. Here is his sneak peek.
