Rayna and Kaylum’s wedding was held in Kaylum’s parents yard in Craven, SK. It was filled with bales of hay wrapped in burlap, cowboy boots, and a home made sign and stand for their altar that read “Together Forever”. As guests filled in for the yard ceremony, it seemed that their excitement to be married just grew. Their energy was radiating. And when Rayna was walking down the aisle, they looked at one another with such intensity, it was pretty amazing. Here are a few from their day. Enjoy!
I am sure you are wondering why the title of this blog is called “I Don’t Dance”. Of course there is a story to tell. When I first met Sarah and Kyler, it was quite apparent that Kyler was a real farm boy. John Deere, trucks, dirt, you get the hint. But when he looked at Sarah, there was this sparkle and that strong farmer just kind of melted away and you could see how much he loved her. So when Sarah and I were chatting about first dances, she said their first dance was going to be “I Don’t Dance” by Lee Brice. She said that Kyler never danced but he would dance with her at home. So the song was fitting as the lyrics say, “I don’t dance, but here I am, spinning you round and round in circles…” And I could this strong farmer spinning the love of his life in an intimate dance at home together and looking at her with such love in his eyes. Melts my heart. Here is their wedding day.
I have always loved photographing this family. If you have been following me for awhile, you would have seen them in past family sessions. We are great friends, both of us are photographers, and our children play together. So it is always a treat to spend time with them. Today was no exception. Beautiful Sunday morning, beautiful family and lots of laughs. Love it!
These two girls kept me on my toes for our shoot last week. They were silly and giggly and busy and fun. I loved watching them be sisters… the teasing, the laughing, the inside jokes. Warms my heart. Here are a few from the session.
