This is my beautiful friend Candace. She is truly a wonderful person and I am so grateful that our paths met. Her caring nature, sense of humour, and thoughtfulness are just a few things that I love about her. Candace recently started a business which focuses on leadership and personal development. She asked me to take pictures for her website ( www.candacesazynski.com ) and I feel so thankful that I could part of this new adventure in her life. She is running A Desire Map Workshop called Soulful Planning for Practical People. Check it out!
Well this wedding was full of tears. Dana had verbally warned me about the tears and swearing (both in good ways), but WOW this family had me choked up at the wedding and even editing their images. First of all, the wedding took place in her parents back yard at Moosomin Provincial Park. I met her father briefly and he lovingly talked about Dana being a very beautiful woman and he couldn’t wait to see how even more beautiful she will look in her dress. The first look that took place with her dad was priceless.
Shelly and Laurie are one of those couples who are just so relaxed, welcoming and completely in love. One of the first meetings with both of them, we were sipping wine in their home and chatting about their upcoming wedding. Laurie and Shelly were talking about their relationship and Laurie explained that even though they have been together for quite some time but he was still in total awe with her. As he is saying those words, she looks at him in such a way that you can just feel the love between them. Their wedding day was filled with so many of those moments as well.
Shelly started her day by having her hair done at Shear Escape followed by make up application at Sara Lindsay – The Makeup Store. She returned home and started getting ready for her first look with Laurie that took place right in their back yard. Her dress was a Casablanca Gown from NWL Contemporary Dresses and Kelly and Katie Glitter Pumps. Her jewelery was custom made at Olson Goldmiths and Hillberg & Berk accents. When Laurie saw Shelly for the first time, he again was in total awe as tears filled his eyes. It was so sweet! We headed out for their wedding formals before their ceremony began. The ceremony and reception were held at the Wascana Country Club both inside and outside of the venue. The decorating by Creative Touch Wedding Designs and flowers by Nature’s Floral Design were absolutely gorgeous and complimented each so well. And finally their wedding cake and hundreds of little cakes artistically created by Something Sweet By Fadiah. Their wedding was stunning!!!
Thank you for letting me be part of your day!
Here is the blog post. Enjoy!
I traveled to Watrous and Manitou Beach for Bernadette and Kyle’s wedding day. The day started off with thunderstorm warnings which included a down pour of rain. However, once the wedding ceremony was complete and Bernadette and Kyle were married, it was a perfect summer day. They were married at St Anne’s Parish in Watrous. Kyle introduced them as man and wife and suggested they kiss. It was super cute! After the ceremony we toured around the prairies and ended up shooting their couple photos at the old pump house near Manitou Beach. Later they celebrated with 300 of their closest family and friends at the infamous Danceland. I wish Bernie and Kyle lots of love and happiness. Here is their blog post.
I absolutely adore Abby and Jared. If you remember, I photographed their engagement last October. It was one of my favourite engagement sessions. So I knew that their wedding was going to be ah-mazing! And it was. Abby and Jared just have that unspoken connection and it is wonderful to photograph. Their wedding day started bright and early with Abby getting hair and make up done, while Jared spent time with his groomsmen. The quaint ceremony took place at The Lady Slipper in Wascana Park. They wrote their own vows which were so heart felt that there were many tears by those in attendance (including myself). Here is their sneak peek.
